Looking at Spyware Nuker Software, this is the first screen you see when you loaded up and from here you’ve got—it’s got a message sent to there, I mean that would be helpful for you the first time you’re using this software. After that you don’t really need it because it’s pretty obvious how to use it once you are familiar with it. But basically what you need to do from the start here, select the drives that you want to scan on and then select either a Quick Scan or a Deep Scan. So, you can just select Quick to just get it going.
Now, if you go up into the menus, you can view all the tabs that are here basically and the tools, if you go to Options, it shows you—it’s got an Options tab here where you can either start the software automatically when Windows starts. So, this is automatically ticked, you might want to turn that off because it can slow down your computer if it’s running all the time. But it will Create Log Files and Backups as well. And you’ve got a few other options here. It doesn’t make much difference whether you show a Splash screen or not. And it creates system restore points. That’s a good feature that you want to have with a spyware scanner. So that every time, it does change something to your system, it creates a system, a windows system restore point not just something with its own software, it integrates with Windows which is a good thing.
And it will also Monitor Internet Explorer which is sort of good, it will make your internet run a bit slower and your webpages load a bit slow because it’s always scanning them before they’ll actually be shown to you. AutoUpdate, this is a good feature you’d want with a spyware scanner, you want it to automatically update itself so that you do not have to worry about it basically. And then Active Protection, this is also again any file you load, it will scan it before it actually loads which will slow down your computer a bit but if you want that level of protection, that’s a good feature. And you can also schedule it. So, it’s got most of the main options and features that you want with a spyware scanner. So, I just get out of that and you just click Scan Now once you’re happy with all your options.
It also includes and Startup Manager but this is a separate program. So, this loads in its own window and this is what it looks like, it shows you everything that loads when Windows load and you can either Disable or Delete. So, that’s good. I am not sure why it’s not included in this Spyware Nuker Software. And it’s got basic—this basic Startup Manger, you can get to all this info through Windows but Windows doesn’t have—to actually delete it, you have to go through the registry when using Windows. So now, this is finished the scan. It found 28 items and most of them, they’re just Cookies. So it didn’t really find anything too threatening on my machine and then you can generate from that.
