Hi! I'm Elizabeth Chamberlain and welcome to Space Lift where I'm going to show you how to change your home to change your life. In the next few minutes, I'm going to share inside secrets of Feng Shui so that you will know how to rearrange your rooms to make all your dreams come true. Who hasn't felt frustrated and depressed by looking at the file and stuff in the back of their closet?
Today, I'm going to show you how to lift your spirits by organizing your closet. First, let's find our focus room with our energy map. By laying the energy map on top of your home floor plan, you can see that the self-knowledge area is in the lower left section of your home along the line of your front door.
There's no hiding in Feng Shui. You can just throw stuff into the back of the closet and expect that it's not going to affect you. This closet happens to be in the self knowledge area, so anything that is in here is going to affect to your self-knowledge. This is all jumbled and cluttered, clutter cloth, and in this case, it also adds a lot of baggage.
It doesn't now look great? Now we have a clean, organized closet in our self-knowledge area, so no more hidden baggage. What we've done is we've used matching hangers. We've also gotten some matching organized baskets up top. You can have them in all different sizes, but as long as the baskets are the same, it looks much fresher and cleaner.
We've also separated all of our clothes into men's and women's sections and then the top separated from the bottom. I like to separate everything according to the rainbow in the ROYGBIV system because that's really how you're going to go and select what you're going to wear that day, anyway. So by using the rainbow, everything looks really nice and clean and organized. Thank you!
