Dave: Back in the day this was a rocking 70’s bachelor dream, all the party’s.
Sandi: Honey the party is over.
Dave: Guess what I don’t have a tight confined space anymore. This is great!
Krista: My overall design for the space really is to bring a little bit of a southwest into their home making it contemporary as well as sort of southwest turn and feel is the overall design style.
Sandi: This tub is comfortable even without water in it. It’s wonderful.
Dave: One of the things that I like about is this tube is that it’s not the safety hazard that the old tub was.
Sandi: We went from a very square tub to these rounded edges they’re smooth. I think circles and roundness is more comforting that this square edges we used to have.
Dave: On the walls before we used to have the packy cypress wood with all those nukes and crannies, all the indentations. Now not only do we have a smooth wall, we have a chair rail, we have alternate colors instead of old dark brown wood.
Sandi: Together it looks really cool and contemporary as well as warm and earthy.
Dave: But also above the tub we have a recess like with a dimmer, make it brighter dim however you want it at the same time you got some hot water flowing off some steam. You’ve got the fan.
Sandi: Fan, very important, we have no fans in here before not even in the lieu.
Dave: Not even in the lieu. Now we have two fans, two, two, two.
When I think of sconce you know with the light hanging down usually its kind of bulbish, it almost looks like a candle stick sort of.
Sandi: Very sophisticated.
Dave: This great look goes really well with the mirror and the shelving, the sink altogether, all beautiful lines all the way down to the floor.
Sandi: And sweety now we have a shower that’s designated solely as a shower instead of a storage closet and we have a rain shower head which I’m actually used in hotels before. We will turn this on see that looks like a little like rain in central New York.
Dave: Very nice.
Sandi: Is that cool or what?
Dave: Very nice.
Sandi: It was difficult for me to give up the control but I think she has done a fantastic job.
Dave: Not only did Krista do a fantastic job with the design but also I had a lot of opportunity to ask Steve questions that I actually feel a lot more confident to work on different projects throughout the house so look out.
Sandi: I have made a honey do-list for you already?
