Solitary Man Michael Douglas Interview
Rhiannon Ally: Michael Douglas is back his returning to the big screen with not one but two highly anticipated films this year. We talk to the star about the new flicks and his hot wife.
Michael Douglas returns to the big screen in a big way this season first with the indie flick Solitary Man and then in a highly anticipated “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”.
Michael Douglas: I took a big break for a while there. I’ve got two young children and sort of save and them ensuring raising them on my wife Catherine resumed her career so yeah you're a step point is certainly this lifetime achieving awards. I’m very proud of Solitary Man and it turned out great and then in the fall we’ve got Wall Street too.
Rhiannon Ally: Even now after a long and prolific career Douglas has a couple things left on his to-do-list.
Michael Douglas: I produced Cuckoo’s Nest with Jack Nicholson but I’ve never acted with Jack and his dear friend and a wonderful actress so I have to do that some time
Rhiannon Ally: He’s also going to spend more time with another important part of his family.
Michael Douglas: I am so proud of Catherine. She this nominated for Tony for the play. “A Little Light Music” with also Angela Lansbury was nominated in the show and for all of us we just come back to New York this September. Kids are in new schools. My shot at Wall Street was first back here to Solitary Man before Catherine started the show and it was beyond expectation. It has been a wonderful, wonderful thrill but I’ll be glad to have her back.
Rhiannon Ally: And with everyone in the Big Apple he is really feeling that New York City pride
Michael Douglas: I grow up in New York City and coming back and we live now maybe 10 blocks and we’re grouped as kids so to see a full circle, to see our young kids running around or sliding on the same hill that I did when I was a kid was a good memory
Rhiannon Ally: This summer spend some quality time with Michael Douglas in Solitary Man and back on Wall Street this fall.
