Soaps and Creams for Your Body
Rhiannon Ally: Now that it is spring, many of us are taking advantage of all the outdoor activities such as biking or hiking or running which is my personal fave. It is a fresh and exciting change to your workout routine but you have to be careful not to overdo it.
But for those of you in desperate need of a little bit of R&R, beauty expert Jennifer Walsh is here with some great products that will help take care of your body. Welcome Jennifer.
Jennifer Walsh: Hello, thank you good to see you.
Rhiannon Ally: I would necessarily call myself a runner, maybe a jogger.
Jennifer Walsh: A jogger it all works, whatever makes you feel good you think you got some exercise, I think just go ahead and do it.
Rhiannon Ally: Exactly. And every year, I do notice it gets a little bit tougher.
Jennifer Walsh: —with that one, I know like aches and pains but that is so much fun because so many more products are now geared to people. They don’t have to be avid enthusiast like running all the time or triathletes or anything like that, but just people that tend to go in the weekends and go for like a little jog.
So, there are some great products that can help it. Yes, and I will start up with the Jack Black. Jack Black, it is basically made for men. It is man skin care brand however anyone can really use it. And it came up with a performance line of products, the Dragon Eyes, people were saying “wow, Dragon Eyes.” It is actually a cream and it has menthol in it.
Rhiannon Ally: So it is kind of a warm up to the touch.
Jennifer Walsh: It is really great, you can put on pre-workout and post workout.
Rhiannon Ally: That is good.
Jennifer Walsh: Doesn’t it smell good? So some people are going to Jack Black, I don’t know if I can use it if I am a women but yes men and women can both use it.
Rhiannon Ally: Anyone can use it. Now, these bars, I have to wonder what can a bar really do?
Jennifer Walsh: I know, well basically Lush is fantastic. I love Lush. They have therapy bars.
Jennifer Walsh: So if you are really kind of—you're aching, your legs, your arms, your back, whatever, all those parts that ache Lush has some great therapy. The therapy bar right here and this also the Wicky Magic bar, the name is Crazy. As you can see, the little beads in it?
So, when you actually rub it into your body, whether it be your legs or your back, have someone help you with it. Those beads rise to the surface.
Rhiannon Ally: Look at that.
Jennifer Walsh: Yes and it is really hydrated shea butter and everything in it. It has cinnamon leaf oil. Peppermint, you can really smell it. So, it smells really good but there is that feeling of that massage into your skin. It is going to be a lot cheaper then going to get—
Rhiannon Ally: Have your husband rub it on you.
Jennifer Walsh: Exactly, it's what I say. It always feels good. And then molten brown has a whole collection called Unwind. They have the bath salts, also something called the Pineleg Soother. They have something that is called cellulose in this. It is actually going to cool your body. So, when you find your feet all day, if you have little kids and you are carrying someone or if you are just walking a lot, it is fantastical cooling.
Rhiannon Ally: So the cooling effect really helps your muscles.
Jennifer Walsh: And sometimes the menthol really helps for the heating as well. So it really depends on what—
Rhiannon Ally: You can mix the two?
Jennifer Walsh: You can mix the two depending on the score and depending what you are feeling. Yes, you can definitely—I would mix the two together but yes, you can mix them up morning and night or whatever is good for you. But Molten Brown is a great collection product as well. And then Aromafloria has a great selection of baths salts.
And this is basically muscle soap from Aromafloria. You need a tiny little bit of it in your bath, tiny bit. But again, this is can really help detoxify your body and detoxify the aching bones you have.
Rhiannon Ally: In this lotion?
Jennifer Walsh: The lotion, yeah. You can follow up with a great lotion as well to really help to soothe the skin.
Rhiannon Ally: And I can kind of smell the—what am I smelling now?
Jennifer Walsh: You have the peppermint and eucalyptus and lemon grass. And you know what you can put this on your body anytime you really want. If you just want to pick me up to make sure you feel good, it's a great line.
Rhiannon Ally: Oh great. It sounds good. And you know who else need to be pampered is mom.
