Alex Fees: I’m Alex Fees for small business television SBTV.com. We are on location in Baltimore at the 2009 pet industry spring trade show. It is brought to you by HH Backer associates publishers of Pet Age Magazine.
Steven Shweky is the vice president of Skaffles is that right?
Steven Shweky: Correct.
Alex Fees: And your product here in at the 2009 pet industry trade show is Pet Head.
Steven Shweky: Correct.
Alex Fees: Customized shampoo.
Steven Shweky: Absolutely.
Alex Fees: Tell me about your product.
Steven Shweky: This is a product line of grooming products that was inspired by, created by the originators of the human brand shampoo called Bed Head.
Alex Fees: Bed Head?
Steven Shweky: Bed Head is one of the country’s largest specialties salon only shampoos and we came up with the brainstorm one day in our office that we thought it would be great to make a line of specialty pet shampoos that sort of mimic that, that, that their whole concept.
So that is what we did. We contacted the creators and licensed the brand from them and we created a line of ten shampoos and cream rinses and conditioners and then we created a complete lifestyle of product around the brand including clothing and accessories as well.
Alex Fees: Alright.
Steven Shweky: And we also added a line of styling tools and temporary hair color, really stuff that is very specialty driven from pets.
Alex Fees: Alright very specialty driven 10 products and a shampoo line alone?
Steven Shweky: Correct.
Alex Fees: Now is this for all pets or just dogs or what?
Steven Shweky: This actually is for dogs. We will be realizing a line of pet product─ cat product at Pet Co. in the next few weeks, so that you will be able to see that there.
Alex Fees: Ten shampoos for dogs Steven, that’s more shampoos that exists for humans.
Steven Shweky: No I don’t think so.
Alex Fees: With ten varieties, what is different about them? What makes them so special?
Steven Shweky: Different, different types of dogs, different hair types, different coats, different things like that. There are detangling sprays, there are sprays for─ a waterless spray shampoo there, yeah there are different dry skin shampoo you know that, I mean there are definitely a multitude of shampoos for humans and now we are taking it to a dog─ taking the dog shampoo to human standard and we are creating products that is safe for humans, that is sulfate-free, paraben-free, all the things that they found harmful to humans. We took out those things and are now bringing that standard into the pet industry.
Alex Fees: Wow, very interesting. Steven where do people go to get more information about Pet Head spray shampoos.
Steven Shweky: They could go to pethead.com or visit any local Pet Co., Pet Smart around the country.
Alex Fees: Alright Steven thank you very much.
Steven Shweky: Great, thanks so much. I appreciate it.
