Alex Fees: I’m Alex Fees for Small Business Television, SBTV.com. We are on location in Baltimore at the 2009 Pet Industries Spring Trade Show. It is brought to you by H.H. Backer Associates, publishers of Pet Age Magazine.
What is Charming Pet Products?
Nick Watts: Well, we are the creator of the enhanced chicken myriad. The chicken’s been around for a long time that we just made at dinner. We put a lovely beautiful polka dot bikini on here.
Alex Fees: Okay.
Nick Watts: And have the beautiful sound and then we created the whole family. We’ve got Henrietta, Earl and of course, Henrietta’s mom.
Alex Fees: Give me an example. Show me what you’re talking about.
Nick Watts: This is Henrietta. She’s the original.
Alex Fees: Oh my, what’s that all about?
Nick Watts: Dogs love her. People hate her. Dogs love her.
Alex Fees: Why do dogs love her?
Nick Watts: I think it’s just that sort of prime old satisfaction of maybe killing the chicken.
Alex Fees: Okay.
Nick Watts: Because it certainly sounds like it so that’s that and then we have Henrietta’s mom, Grandma Hippie Chick, same lovely sound. And then the dad, Grandpa Gimpy Hip and then because I am a big soccer fan, we’ve got David Beckham and Chicktoria Beckham and then Buddy Hogley. I’m a big music fan.
Alex Fees: Now that’s different.
Nick Watts: It’s a little different. It’s a little different. He is particularly ugly but yes, I happen to be drinking when I drew the measurement and becomes it.
Alex Fees: So you drew this and came out with this concepts Nick, is that right?
Nick Watts: Exactly yes. It’s kind of yes. The more we drink, the more obnoxious I become and yes, more people seem to like them.
Alex Fees: Nick, I understand this is not your first interview.
Nick Watts: Actually it is.
Alex Fees: Did I see correctly who’s on the Tonight’s Show?
Nick Watts: That was the lady by the name of Lara right then.
Alex Fees: Talking about your product?
Nick Watts: Yes. This one right here, Henrietta.
Alex Fees: So how did that come about?
Nick Watts: They just came up and said this is exactly what the Tonight Show would love.
Alex Fees: Really?
Nick Watts: And it’s stay there.
Alex Fees: And when was that?
Nick Watts: A year and half, I guess.
Alex Fees: Did that benefit you?
Nick Watts: Not as much as I thought it would.
Alex Fees: Really?
Nick Watts: Yes, I was hoping we’re going to put. Now you know, it was good; hey now, you know there’s something about advertising. You’ll never how it affects you. He knows how what would have happened and they not done it so.
Alex Fees: Who are these four? Is this for a specialty product for pet owners or who?
Nick Watts: Well, it tunes out a bit. Dogs don’t make a lot of money it tends to be humans to buy it.
Alex Fees: You’ve noticed that, have you?
Nick Watts: Yeah, so based just literally, you go into some people just like cracked up laughing as soon as I see them. It’s just great so you know, it’s good that people get a laugh out of it and people, you know, they like buying products that make them laugh.
Alex Fees: And Nick, where can people go to find more information about Charming Pet Products.
Nick Watts: CharmingPetProducts.com
Alex Fees: CharmingPetProducts.com
Nick Watts: Yes.
Alex Fees: Nick, thank you very much. Good to meet you.
