Sir Richard & Eve Branson - Necker Island; Paradise!

Lindsay: Hi, Lindsay Caldwell here at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
Tonight I get to talk to one of my favorite celebrities and
entrepreneurs, Sir Richard Branson at his annual Rock the Caspa
Gala where stars are coming out to show their support.

We’re doing a segment on hotspots and Necker Island being one of
them. What do you think makes it such a hot spot?

Sir Richard: Well, Necker is the most beautiful place in the world. And I'm not
biased. It’s a little jewel in the Caribbean. And it’s got the most
spectacular beauty, the most spectacular, your completely clear
pristine waters, dolphins. It’s got -- and I'm not quite sure why I'm
not that all the time.

Lindsay: Right. So what are celebrities like to stay there over the holidays?
Does anyone go over there and hitch you up and saying, hey,
Richard --?

Sir Richard: I think pretty well every celebrity of the world has been there at
some stage. You know Janet Jackson, Bill Gates, and Patti Gabriel.
I mean them -- yeah, people love to go there because they can get
away. They can pull up the door bridge and have a lovely time.

Lindsay: Great. Talk to me about your new space travel plan and ideas. Can
you explain that to us? It’s very interesting.

Sir Richard: We are -- we’re only a few months away now from starting to take
given space. My mom who's standing in my right, she's going to
go. I'm going to go. My children are both planning to go. And
we’ve got a 400-500 other people who signed up.

Eve: Christmas, ah yes, I'm going to join Richard in Necker Island.

Lindsay: Necker Island.

Eve: Yes, yeah.

Lindsay: What do you think makes Necker Island such a hot spot or a
special place?

Eve: I think its one of the last islands that -- once again, it was a virgin
island. Nobody had been on it before and he’s built it up from
nothing.

Lindsay: Right.

daughter is a Holly.
