Hello, this is Paul Huppert with OnlineLessonVideos.com. In today’s lesson we’re going to be learning the melody Silent Night. This arrangement is all in the first position, but we will be covering two different octave ranges. I hope you enjoy the lesson.
Alright, let’s get started on this arrangement of Silent Night. We’ll be in the key of F major, we’re in three fourth time and of course we will be playing under tempo for study purposes. Let’s get started.
C natural second finger on the A string, third finger, second. And here I have played an open A string. If you want to add a little bit of ambiance with Vibrato you can actually place your third finger on the E string and it gives it just a little vibrato. I like that technique just to take the edge off a little bit.
The third measure, are the same notes E string and then here I use the fourth finger and then back to the E string, F natural and then C natural. Let’s try that again.
