Nicole Grippo: I am Nicole Grippo beauty editor of Women's Day magazine. Welcome to 5 Minute hair. Here's where we take one lucky woman and give her few quick and easy tips on how to solve her hair dilemma.
Diane: I keep my hair short, because it's easy, and I like this sort of wash and go, simplicity of it, but ever so often I wonder if I am going to go to a special occasion, or at special event for work. Is there any thing I can do that would make it look different?
Nicole Grippo: We are here with senior stylist at the Gemini Salon, Lee Orr. Can you help us with Diane's challenge?
Lee Orr: Sure, she has a beautiful haircut, what she needs is, to lift it up to a night look. We are going to do two looks, one is more funky, and spice it up, and one that is more silky. So what we are going to use, we are going to use a paste. For her hair I need a still light paste, because I don't want to have it heavy on her hair, because her hair is very fine. And you use a small amount of paste. We start from behind, then you start to style it. She has a great, great cut for styling.
Nicole Grippo: That's amazing how it's working throughout your hair, and it's just whatever is on his fingertips at that point.
Lee Orr: There we go.
Nicole Grippo: Wow! That was so fast and easy. I love the way her hair look. So now you are going to show us a second look.
Lee Orr: Yeah. We are going to show a second one, because she says, she is very bored with her hair. So we are going to give her another option to spice it up. What I saw in Diane in the first time is, she has a beautiful, beautiful blue eyes and beautiful cheekbones, and I want to just lift it up a little bit by taking the sides behind the ears.
Nicole Grippo: Okay.
Lee Orr: You see, I am not touching anything else. Okay.
Nicole Grippo: Touching anything else, okay?
Lee Orr: In this sides, behind the ears and make it more silk. You see how I do that, just pull a little bit over here, and smooth it with my fingers. A little bit red color, and look at this, her beautiful eyes is outside, and I am straightening, and I am also doing, put it more at the back so you cannot see it from the front, if you can see it to the front. Don't forget to puff it up over here.
Nicole Grippo: Lift and slick.
Lee Orr: Lift and slick, yeah, beautiful eyes, beautiful cheekbones, and let's see you in a real size. Great.
Nicole Grippo: Looks great. So we are all finished. Diane, you got two looks at the price of one. One is a little spikier, a little bit more funky. Well, the other one's a little bit more conservative and posh with it. Pushed back behind your ears, what do you think?
Diane: I think it's great. It really is as easy as it looks, and I think he was right, when he was talking about -- bringing out the features, bringing out the eyes . I think it's terrific.
Nicole Grippo: Yeah, your eyes really pop, and I love all the pieciness on the hair. Well, I am Nicole Grippo, beauty editor of Women's Day magazine, and that was 5 Minute Hair.
