And that means media coverage of the flu season is up and running as well. According to ABC News : “Health experts say we may be in the midst of the worst flu season in years, hitting earlier than it has in a decade. Still, doctors say, if you haven't gotten sick it's not too late to get the flu shot. " According to Fox News Channel , it's a particular kind flu bug that’s causing all the trouble.   “There is a severe strain of the flu that's now in more than two dozen states and it's sent thousands to the hospital. The concerns are growing as the virus continues to spread.”   But, CNN says, wait a minute, this year’s flu season isn’t that much different from past ones. “It's not the worst one ever. Even if you look at the flu season at this point in time, there are two or three other seasons that have been this bad this early. it's not unheard of.” So, what’s the real takeaway this year? Same as any other flu season: Wash your hands, cover your mouth when you cough, and drink plenty of fluids.
