First thing to think about when you get your new kitten home is settling them in
and make them feel nice and comfortable and secure in your house. As you can see, Jill
has been here for a month or two now. She’s really, really grown. She’s definitely found
her place in the house and that’s this 0:18 what she absolutely loves.

And it’s one of my top tips for setting a new cat in. You get them one of these
hammered because they’re nice and soft and furry and they’re warm beside the radiator.
They’re off of the ground; the cat’s got a great view of what’s going on and they feel safe
and secure. Kind of say, if you walk past, you could be a bit of a swipe which cats love to
do to let you know who the boss is. So radiator hammock’s a great idea and cats
absolutely love them.

But there’s other ideas as well to settle your cat in to their new home and one of
them is the airing cupboard. Not for everyone of course, but if you got an airing cupboard
that the cat can get to and you don’t mind if you have hairy towels and things in there,
then why not let the cat in there, put an old towel or a vet bed or a nice bit of furry
blanket up on the top shelf and cats absolutely hiding where they’ll feel nice and secure
and safe and obviously warm as well but you have to put up with a few hairy blankets if
you do love that option.
