Okay! Everybody needs to paint the inside or the outside of their house at one point in time and you might be confused as to what is the best paint to buy. Well I am going to tell you.
You would look at the paint can label because they hold a great amount of information that tells you which paint is the best. Now, all paints are really colored glue. Look on the label, you’re going to find words like acrylic and vinyl or copolymers, those are very cute words. Now the best glue or the best paint or the ones that have 100% acrylic resins.
Acrylic resins are really stretchable and they will yield to the expansion and contraction of wood and they stay on for a long time. Another paint glue that is often used but it is not really as good are the vinyl acetates or the vinyl type glues. Now look for that on the label as well and maybe you could use that type of paint for something that is not as important to you or something that maybe that is going to repainting for three or four years.
Now, here is some really great news. They have now some fantastic new paints out. They go on a lot thicker almost twice as thick as regular paints and these things are guaranteed for the life of your home. I can tell you right now, that is the next glue and the next paint I am going to use on my own home.
