Mike: Well, when you think of digital music players, most people think iPods but it does open the opportunity for other manufacturers to come out with features on their digital music players that take it to the next level. Case and point sums, I would jut been making big strides as far as Mp3 and video players, this is their YP-T10. But it’s an interesting little unit. it’s an Mp3 player with flash memories, it’s got 2 gigabytes built into it.
And it’s got some cool features that iPod hasn’t built into it yet. Number one, Bluetooth, and this is a big thing for me. Right now, I’ve got wired in headsets but there’s a whole bunch of wireless Bluetooth headsets that are on the market now. Now with this particular music player, you’re actually able to tune right in with the wireless headsets – where you go.
So as you can imagine if you’re doing exercising, jogging or walking, it’s nice to have that wireless freedom instead of having the chord around you. Some other features, FM radio as well. And that’s a nice feature if you’re tired listening to your music collection you can always tune in to your favorite FM radio station. And you got to check out the menus on this little guy here, they’re all animated. I really love that. Even going into the music menu here, once you select one of the songs, this is kind of cool. It’s got a kind of a graphic equalizer but instead here it’s got an animated one with the little dogs dancing around. It looks like that Snoopy doesn’t it?
As far as music, obviously you can play all your favorite music files there but you can also load in videos, watch videos and even pictures. So if you are in the market for digital music player, there is no question on Apply iPods are great little units but you might find some features in some other manufacturers, models that might entice you to have a look at them. This is the Samsung YP-T10. I got it right this time. Two gigabytes, that’s going to hold a lots of songs and a worthy little digital music player to have to look at.
