Salvador Police on Strike Clash with Military

who are on strike over pay. The police have occupied the city's Legislative Assembly with their families some of whom were pregnant women and children. In response, Brazil deployed 3,500 soldiers in an attempt to bring order to the city following five days of the strike that has sparked a wave of lawlessness and seen Salvador's murder rate double, according to authorities.
