Here at the DIY basics for repairing wall to wall carpet, brought to you by Febreze Fabric Refresher. Just because your carpet has a stain or hole there is no need to replace the entire carpet, with the quick repair job it can look like new.
Start with the small piece of matching carpet, if you don’t have remnant left from installation you can cut one from an out of the way spot. An empty can pressed over the damaged area will marked the area to be replaced, the damaged circle can be remove with the utility knife, the remnant or replacement will also need to be cut the same size. Pieces of double sided tape two inches longer than the cutout area will hold the new patch in place. The nap of the patch should perfectly align with the nap of the carpet as you pressed it into place, then freshened up the entire carpet and your damaged carpet will blend over time.
