Dr. James M. Sears: Why did you pick me for this one?.
Dr. Travis Stork: Because I know you like foot massage.
Dr. James M. Sears: Yeah, actually you’re right. I do a lot of them but I’ve got foot fungus. So --
Dr. Travis Stork: You know what you are not the only one.
Dr. James M. Sears: That is very common.
Dr. Travis Stork: Like what, 70 %, 80% of men get this so, it is athlete’s foot.
Dr. Lisa Masterson: Right, and women do in nail salons are major culprits for it, that’s why you have to be very careful about picking your nail salon but -- and there’s a lot of over-the-counter treatments and you have prescription treatment by doctors but --
Dr. James M. Sears: Some of those have side effects.
Dr. Lisa Masterson: They can have some side effects. They can be problematic. So if you want to try something at home in our little med SPA. We have got our own sort of little home brew going on, our happy hour antifungal treatment.
Dr. Travis Stork: So that is actually beer.
Dr. James M. Sears: This is beer.
Dr. Lisa Masterson: This is stout beer, dark beer and we are going to just like put it on.
Dr. Travis Stork: We are going to waste beer on Jim’s feet!
Dr. James M. Sears: Save a little, save a little for later though.
Dr. Lisa Masterson: You really need it dear.
Dr. James M. Sears: Yeah, I know.
Dr. Lisa Masterson: Okay.
Dr. Travis Stork: Talking about ruining a good beer.
Dr. Lisa Masterson: And then you also -- vinegar.
Dr. James M. Sears:: Vinegar? So that --
Dr. Lisa Masterson: That’s going to be the acid. That’s going to ruin, kill the fungus.
Dr. James M. Sears: Kills the fungus.
Dr. Lisa Masterson: Yeah, and so you put about half a liter in there. There it goes.
Dr. James M. Sears: The beer that smells wonderful now.
Dr. Travis Stork: What is the third?
Dr. Lisa Masterson: Probiotics.
Dr. Travis Stork: Okay, which you’ve talked about earlier in the show.
Dr. James M. Sears: Oh, Jesus --
Dr. Travis Stork: Whoah, that smells.
Dr. James M. Sears: Okay.
Dr. Travis Stork: It’s interesting.
Dr. Lisa Masterson: There you go. You’re going to have some different kinds of smelling feet.
Dr. James M. Sears: That is killing something. My chest is --
Dr. Lisa Masterson:: And so the heat is going to open up the nail beds and the vinegar, or the acid will get in there and get the fungus.
Dr. Travis Stork: How often would you have to do this Lisa?
Dr. Lisa Masterson: Well, two times a day for 30 minutes in this stout brew.
Dr. James M. Sears: You can’t just try this once and say “Oh, it didn’t work.” You got to do this probably everyday for probably weeks at a time.
Dr. Travis Stork: And you may end up and use creams on top of it.
Dr. Lisa Masterson: Right. Just in case.
Dr. Travis Stork: And can you save one glass to enjoy while you are doing it
Dr. Lisa Masterson: You might have another problem if you keep drinking the stout beer while you’re doing the feet fungus thing.
