Recycled Paper Art Necessities
On behalf of TVLesson.com, my name is Sherie Tengbergen. I'm a professional artist with the WatercolorGourmet.com. In this clip I'm going to show you the supplies needed to make recycled paper art. The important things that you're going to need for this process, the most important is a blender and any kind of blender is fine. It doesn’t matter as long as it has several different speeds on it. I like to use a plastic blender because it’s just a little more portable for me.
You're also going to need different types of paper, old recycled, shredded paper, magazines, things like that are very important. I also use Saran wrap or clear plastic wrap. I like to use parchment paper that you can get in your grocery store, a rolling pin is very helpful to roll your paper flat, a sift that you have to strain your paper and then water and a nice board to put your paper on so that it will dry flat and you come out with a really good product.
So those are basically besides paper towel for cleaning up and for drying up your paper are the supplies that you’ll need to get started in this art form. What I particularly love about recycled paper art is it’s a way of helping out the environment by using things that most people would throw away and put into a dumpster. And this is a way of giving back to the environment and protecting what we hold so dear to us.
As an example of what you can do with recycled paper art is this sample of one of my paintings here and this is all handmade paper that I put into this particular collage in order to make it have some texture and be a little bit more interesting.
On behalf of TVLesson.com, this is Sherie Tengbergen and thank you for watching.
