(AP) _ Officials say six of the seven people injured when a fighter jet crashed into a Virginia apartment complex have been released from the hospital. Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital spokesman Dale Gauding says one of pilots remains hospitalized Friday, hours after a student and instructor crashed shortly after takeoff. Emergency officials say some 40 apartments were damaged or destroyed in the crash. No fatalities have been reported, but officials say they still have not accounted for all the residents. Capt. Mark Weisgerber is with Fleet Forces Command. He says that while the jet dumped loads of fuel, avoiding what could have been a large explosion, it's not clear if that was intentional. It's possible the fuel was dumped because of a malfunction on the plane.(****END****) VIDEO PRODUCER: dstarddard---------------------------VIDEO SOURCE: UGC and handout-----------------------VIDEO APPROVAL: yes----------------------------VIDEO RESTRICTIONS: Courtesies----------------------------------MARKET EMBARGO (S): None--------------------------------SCRIPT/WIRE SOURCE: a0943BC-US--Navy Jet Crash, 12th Ld,941
