PSV MANAGER DICK ADVOCAAT LOOKS DISAPPOINTED STORY: Eredivisie leaders PSV Eindhoven could be knocked off the top of the table on Sunday (March 10) after they slipped up at mid-table Heerenveen. Ajax can go above them if they beat PEC Zwolle, and Dick Advocaat's team have now picked up just seven points from their last five games. They lost 2-1 at Heerenveen on Saturday after a poor first-half in which they conceded twice and never really got going. Marten de Roon turned in a Yassine El Ghanassy cross after eight minutes, and the same combination were on hand to double the lead on 38 minutes. This time de Roon's shot was saved, but El Ghanassy made no mistake with the rebound. PSV were much-improved in the second half, substitute Tim Matavz smacking a header against the bar shortly after the break. They eventually pulled a goal back on 75 minutes, Kevin Strootman lashing home through a crowd of players after Heerenveen failed to clear a corner. And the home side were indebted to 'keeper Boy Waterman who made two fine saves in the dying minutes, first denying Marcelo from another corner, then palming away a Matavz header. PSV remain on 53 points, two ahead of Ajax and with a vastly superior goal difference, but the Amsterdam side now have a game in hand. Heerenveen are in the top half, occupying ninth place with 32 points.
