Hi! My name is Marisa, and I am one of the operators of preschoollearningonline.com and activityschoolbus.com. Now in this video, I am going to sing a song that we have had a lot of request about. We have some lyrics upto a song called Sandy Girl/Sandy Boy. So I am going to sing the song that way you'll have the tune to it. And you'll know the lyrics now but we also have them posted on our website. So the tune is really simple. It just goes like this.
See the little sandy girl sitting on a stone, Crying, weeping because she's all alone. Stand up Nadeline wipe your tears away, Choose a friend who likes to dance and take them out to play.
So I am just pretending there was a little girl Nadeline, so what she is doing, while singing a song, she is sitting in the middle of the circle all by herself, you can cut out like a stone shape with a piece of great construction paper or something like that and then they have a spot to sit on and it's fun because the kids usually acted the actions, they pretend they are crying then they wipe their tears and stuff, so then when I say,
Stand up Nadeline wipe your tears away, Choose a friend who likes to dance and take them out to play.
Then, what she would do is she would pick a friend that's sitting in a circle, so she point to them and then I say okay, stand up and they would stand up and pulled hands and then you would sing this while they are dancing around holding hands, you would just go.
Tra la la la la la la la la Tra la la la la la la la la la la Tra la la la la la la la la la la Tra la la la la la la la la la la la la.
So then Nadeline will go sit down and the friend that she picked will now sit in the middle and then if it was a boy, then you would just go --
See the little sandy boy sitting on a stone, Crying, weeping because he's all alone. Stand up Joshua wipe your tears away, Choose a friend who likes to dance and take them out to play.
And so then you'd just keep doing that until you had all the children done. Now for the last child, I just told them to pick whoever when it gets narrowing down to only few children left sometimes, kids who wants to pick other kids to happen, they picked. But if you want the sound to go quickly and have everybody picked, near the end I usually, oh, someone still has a turn or someone still has a turn, until they choose someone who hasn't and it just make sure that everybody gets a turn and everybody is happy.
So that's the tune to the song, I hope you enjoyed and have fun with it and we have the lyrics posted on our site and I will be back with more videos.
