Practical Modern Kitchen Makeover
Rate my Space with Angelo Surmelis
Angelo: So check it out we are finishing off this room with some modern elements, some practical elements and some do double duty. The dimmers on these lights turn task lighting into great mood lighting and these leather chairs are stylish and at the same time easy to take care off. This great modern practical kitchen is open for business and I can’t wait for James and Dianne to see it.
Close your eyes.
Angelo: Hold on to your husband’s hand, both of you close your eyes. I got you, keep walking, keep walking and I want you to think a back to what your kitchen used to look like.
Dianne: Is this my house? Am I getting a different house or what.
Angelo: I have to ask if you can even speak. What you think because I know this was a bit of a challenge what you think about the color on the walls now.
Dianne: It’s perfect.
Angelo: Do you recognize the appliances that we shopped for?
Angelo: Your stove your microwave, check out your dishwasher. You now have a dishwasher.
James: Isn’t that cool?
Dianne: Now I can save my hand.
James: I know right.
Angelo: Do you see your inspiration in this kitchen dining room.
Dianne: Oh yes.
Angelo: A little.
Dianne: Oh yes for the floors.
Angelo: Right and then Tammy and joe had the pendant lights, the cabinetry you guys were drawn too.
Dianne: The appliances
Angelo: Right and you guys saw Susan & Andrews Kitchen.
Angelo: What were you drawn to in that kitchen?
James: The flash.
Angelo: Exactly and what do you say.
James: I love it.
Dianne: It’s amazing.
James: The texture.
Angelo: It’s a great bridge between your cabinetry and your countertop.
James: I love the way you design on the fireplace.
Angelo: Just to give it a little more feel.
Dianne: Exactly, right and it’s just…
James: The room too in the kitchen.
Angelo: It looks modern.
Dianne: Yeah it looks so modern.
Angelo: You think your new door that we found in your garage just painting that door.
Dianne: Oh my gosh.
Angelo: Just painting that door that you guys had really ties in to the existing doors that you had.
Angelo: All we did was paint those and bring in the new door that you had in your garage.
Angelo: In the end we spent about $27,000 turning this kitchen around. The stainless appliances cost $4300 the warm wood cabinets came in at around 3,000 and the tile flooring cost $1500.
The team has done an amazing job. We have to thank Gerard in the team for really helping us come together from the flooring to the cabinetry to the countertops to your dining room but the last thing we have to do is take a picture of this brand new kitchen and dining room and put it back on rate my space because now I can’t wait to see what the community has to say.
