Pope Holds Talks with Cuba's Castro

where he paid homage to the country's patron saint, the Virgin of Charity of El Cobre. Castro greeted the pontiff after his convoy arrived at the Council of State and Ministers. Following an official welcome, Castro and the pontiff held a private meeting for about one hour. Castro presented the Pope with a statue of the Virgin.
