Missouri police say the weekend killings of a woman and three children could be a murder-suicide. Here’s KSDK.

Investigators say each victim suffered a single gun shot wound — and police did find a weapon at the scene. According to the AP — authorities released the victims’ names on Sunday, identified as... 

 

“...Christine Adewunmi, 37, and her three daughters, Lauren, 8, Samantha, 6, and Kate, 3...” 

 

KTVI reports 6-year-old Samantha and 8-year-old Lauren went to school in west St. Louis county. 3-year-old Kate had just started preschool. Their father reported them missing. 

 

“St. Louis county police were called to Arbor Bluffs Circle near Big Bed and Sulfer Springs on Friday night. The father of the girls reported his wife and children missing.”

 

Investigators say they have not officially ruled the deaths a murder-suicide. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch talked to one neighbor who says, if Christine Adewunmi did kill her children, it would be shocking. The neighbor describes Adewunmi as...

 

“...a stay-at-home mom who was always playing outside with her children or driving them to various sports practices and Girl Scouts. She described her as easy to talk to and approachable. ‘She was a very busy mom. Those kids were her life’...”

 

Police say they are not looking for any other suspects in the case.
