Hi, this is Doctor Debra from topworkoutsecrets.com. And today, another great smoothie! You're just going to have so recipes to choose from. You'll have to find some that you like for sure. So, this one is called the pineapple tango.
It starts with a mango. I'm just going to scoop out this mango. So all I've done is cut along the pith taking a little flesh of the pith. Now, I'm just scooping out the halves. Okay and then it calls for half of the pineapple. All I've done is cut the top, the bottom and the rind off of this pineapple. I'm just going to chuck it up, toss it in.
I know I said on my other video that you do not have to have a high-speed vita mix. You can just use a regular blender that is sitting on your shelf. You just have to put the ingredients in a little bit at a time and not kind of grind them up all at once. But it will work. So, you don’t any fancy equipment.
And then a heaping cup of strawberries, frozen strawberries, I got to put in about a cup of water. I'm going to grind the fruit first. Some people put in greens first. I tend to put in my fruit first and get that ground up. Here we go.
Okay, it's still a little thick. Add just a little more water. And then usually with the red colored ones, what I've learned is that if you want it to look pretty, you try to stick with the lighter colored greens. I'm going to put romaine in and see how we go. Hopefully it won't turn brown. I usually put in a whole head of romaine lettuce.
If you wanted, you probably could put in more strawberries and then your red color would come out more or if they weren’t frozen if I’d used fresh strawberries, this might have seemed a little more vibrant in color there. Okay, all right so I've got pineapple and mangoes, lots of vitamin C. And then we've got strawberries and all those nice fruits and then the romaine which has a lot of minerals. Your greens have a lot of minerals in them.
If you're putting in the whole head, maybe if you just have a couple of leaves of romaine, that wouldn’t add up too much wherein if you put in a whole head of romaine lettuce, then you do have potassium and manganese that kind of thing and lots of vitamin C in here in the fruits. It tastes good.
So if you poured this in a nice pretty glass or something, they just would think you're giving them this great fruit smoothie. And fruit is wonderful. Fruit has great things in it and blending is nice with the juicing because you preserve all the fiber in the pulp. But, the greens just give you those trace minerals and all that nice fiber and they give you more zip I think.
So, anyway, there you have your pineapple tango smoothie. Try that one out. It's really nice and mild with the romaine. This makes a rally nice combination. And so, give that pineapple tango smoothie a try and let me know what you think. This is Doctor Debra from topworkoutsecrets.com wishing you a day of great I don’t know. That's good, okay.
