Krista: Today we’ll meet Ed and his cousin Kevin, two life long pals who love to live life in the fast lane. Now Ed says if you want a really wild ride take a spin in his outdated bathroom, yikes!
Ed: Holy guacamole this is what I have to have people come into.
Kevin: It’s embarrassing. Before Ed moved into this house he saw his bathroom. He had hair; believe it or not he did have hair.
Krista: I really wanted to appeal to Ed’s wild side by bringing in some metallic glazed tile. It’s going to shimmer and it’s going to bring out that chrome aspect that’s screams motocross.
Ed: Yeah I definitely need to do something about the storage in this area or lack thereof but you know there’s some pros I can take the mirror back.
Krista: This tired old vanity has got to go and we’re going to replace it with a cool wall mounted glass poles sink and a much needed storage cabinet with a custom stone top. With the raw materials labor and all those great products the grand total for this makeover comes to about $20,000.
Kevin: Can you believe this place?
Ed: Unreal. Total night and day difference.
Kevin: It doesn’t compare to the old bathroom. You got a TV in here, you got storage, you got no grain.
Ed: I love it. I love it I’m no longer embarrassed by my bathroom, maybe my cousin that I don’t know if that changed.
Ed: Look at you, you got a shirt.
Kevin: Look at the toilet. It’s not square anymore. How does it feel?
Ed: Good. I feel like I’m home.
Kevin: Dude you got a flat screen TV in the bathroom.
Ed: A TV in my bathroom.
Kevin: I’m going to walk over here. I would be brushing my teeth you would be taking a shower. Well I don’t know about that but like you know what’s going on in the world and brushing my teeth. Did you know they gave you a new toothbrush too?
Ed: No, it’s like industrial size.
Kevin: I know, what do you think of this thing?
Ed: Awesome I can just step out of my shower. Get my towel on.
Kevin: That’s the new thing you’re getting your towel on.
Ed: Right, I love the color though I wouldn’t have imagined putting those 3 different colors schemes together. I would have come in here and done blue, blue.
Kevin: That’s what you did do.
Ed: Oh yeah. The sink look it’s like high tech cutting edge stuff. Nobody else got that in the neighborhood.
Kevin: Oh yeah.
Ed: It’s like so much higher made for me. Ergonomically correct, I love these little lights to.
Kevin: You had those other bulbs, remember the looked like something like this.
Ed: Yeah, these are brighter and they’re smaller than the other one. My favorite part of this room by far is the tiling. The shower stall with the dots and the different colors well I mean the floor just is incredible too.
Krista: My favorite part of the design is the stainless steel tile. It’s a ceramic tile that has a stainless steel glaze on it and it’s less expensive than an actual stainless steel tile but it looks just as cool.
Kevin: Did you see this too? Do you remember how the plumbing was working here before?
Ed: Shoddy at best. First gear remember?
Kevin: First gear, yeah that’s nice man.
Ed: Look how wide that head is it all covers my big brain.
Kevin: It’s just aesthetics.
Ed: No it works man.
Kevin: Alright. Awesome check it, get in there Ed. How does it feel?
Ed: I fell like Huckfinn.
Kevin: Turn on the TV.
Ed: That’s awesome.
Kevin: Oh really.
Kevin: This could be the ultimate bachelor bathroom. The TV all the lights and check everything out it’s nice and clean and the ladies are definitely going to love this.
