Parchment is the decorative furnish that resembles parchment paper it’s an overall feel that it looks great in today’s modern home and guest what it’s easy. An elegant for painters of all levels, parchment is one of the most popular decorative finishes used on walls today. You know what I love about this finish this can be fix like that. Now so fancy materials here thus the paint tray, two shades of latex paint and the same tonality, mix part paint, one part latex glaze and one part water, a two bristle brush and dump to use box. You want to prepare you chase cloth by folding in the corners so that when you are working on your wall you don’t have this till weeps around they’re all nicely a little handholds. Working in a4x4 area applies one squinty line of each color that’s going to add depth. Starting on the outside first paint out the paint around the edges in a figure eight type rubbing pattern, on the inside it create texture by dabbing the paint to move it around. Once you’re done with this area resist the temptation to furnish until the paint is completely dry or you may end up with holes or overlapping paint lines. See that whole right there, finish the wall before doing fixes and if the chase cloth begins to gum up a little bit or doesn’t move with this give it a quick rinse with top water. The hole and line we’ve created are little harsh so I’m going to show you how to fix them. Using two parts of my linen basecoat mix with the one part of water, a brush of few strokes over the area I want to fix. Diffuse it with the dry brush, I’ve brush the parchment color on my chase cloth and dub it all over the problem spot. For even more texture all tone between he light and dark color. This technique is a truly designers rim because as you can see old world doesn’t have to mean old school. I love the parchment furnish it’s such a small effort for a huge pay off and by the way it’s also a foundation for a lot of other decorative finishes.
