Setting the timer mode is very, very simple with this camera. The timer mode has two settings, one is a ten second timer and the other is a Two second timer. Two second timer is really great for setting the camera down or on a tripod. Applying the two second timer and then releasing the camera so you don’t have any kind of camera shake whatsoever before taking the picture. The ten second timer is for you to actually put yourself in the picture as well. And with most modes, both timer functions are available, however, in the auto mode, only the ten second timer will be available to you. So I’ll show you in the program mode what this looks like. Just press the left navigation button here to access the soft timer and then just go down choose either ten second or two seconds and just press set. Now with the timer mode selected, I can take my picture as usual, focus on the target, press the shutter button halfway, recompose the image, press the shutter button the rest of the way, the camera will wait two seconds, and then go ahead and take the picture.
