A little bit about pests and diseases since I’ve been asked about this, time for the future videos. And here is some of the green fly.
Today is the 6th of May and I don’t know how but let’s focus in. There are a few adults and a number of them green insects but they suck the sap out of the leaves. This time each harvest caused by caterpillars, winter moth. No one here has bigger problem as it used to be since we started spraying.
There I told you there is a winter moth caterpillar. You’ll never guess what’s about that happened to him. Squeeze! Yeah, we used to have a terrible problem with winter moth caterpillar, the two or three spaces of them.
You can control them to some extent with grace bonding. I put a bit more in the text about that and if anyone has got any good ideas about pest control and then you saw wide references, please feel free to put them out. This isn’t in a meeting it will be great exposed trying to be a bit cooperative maybe. Here’s some more winter moth caterpillar damaged, has to squash the thing.
We haven’t got even near the amount of time and so we use to have from this basis because we use some insecticide. And I’m telling you before, we use the insecticide, we used to have absolutely terrible, terrible damage from this to that and keep twirling around.
The ants introduce the larvae of the aphids and they milk them to sap. There are some more aphids but basically, three upright or two branches are really dry. This ones, you can kill them with insecticide and the other is you can let nature achieve a natural balance. And there’s a lot to be said to a thing not there are a number of them.
The beneficial insects including light-winged hoverfly larvae, ladybirds or ladybugs they call them in the States certainly, which will eat aphids. Having said that the ants form them and the ants fight the lady bugs off. So anyway, there’s a lot more to be said but I just wanted to show briefly. I want out to the pest which we see, having said that this tree is in generally pretty good shape.
