Sprinklers plugging up? Sprinkler Daddy can help with a Heavy-Duty Irrigation Filter from Orbit
In this video, Sean Stefan
explains how the irrigation filter works to keep foreign material from entering your sprinkler system if you are supplying your sprinkler system from a lake, dugout, well, or any other form of grey water.
Hi, I’m Sean from Sprinkler Daddy and I’m here at the warehouse today to talk to you a little bit about the Orbit heavy-duty irrigation filter that we sell at Sprinkler Daddy Sprinkler store and just kind of talk to you about how it really works well with irrigation systems that are fed from well or from a lake or from a pumping, in a dug-out or anything like that.
It got a 32 mesh steel screen in it and you basically just put it in between your pump and your manifold and it will filter all the crap that’s in the water that can clog up sprinkler heads. It will filter all that out for you and it’s got a flash valve on it, too so you don’t have to worry about cleaning up the screen. It takes care of that for you so basically how it works is there is an outlet here and an inlet here so it will come from your pump to this end here. And it will go through out this end and then into your manifold.
Basically, there is a second port here that you can see. That’s a flash port and you can put a valve on the end of that and then periodically whenever you want to flush it out you can just open up the valve and you can flush out all the crap that’s got caught in the screen and it will keep your sprinklers from getting all clogged up. The screens will clog up in your sprinklers and then your sprinklers can't spray right.
If you’ve got a situation where you’re fitting your sprinkler system from the lake or from a dug-out or from a well and the water is not very pure then the filter is something that you might want to look at and you can either put it inside of a pump hose if you want or you can put it inside of a valve box and what some people even do is they take an automatic valve and they water this back up to their timer and put that on the flash port so that they can set it to say once a week to go out or to automatically flash out the filters so they don’t have to worry about it.
Anyway, that’s a quick peek at the Orbit heavy-duty irrigation filter that’s available for sale in the Sprinkler Daddy Sprinkler store.
