Host: What are some red flags you should look out for in other profiles? Toni Coleman: Some of the ones that I have heard that are right at the top of my list would be things like talking about your ex, talking about your bad dating history, talking about some of your nightmares experiences with online dating, rambling on about all the things that are wrong in your life. These are all things that are red flags to the person that is reading them. Just imagine how you would feel as you are going through an ad and the difference for you if the ad was upbeat, positive, the person was saying interesting things about themselves, they were open and sharing but appropriately. So, those are the things that people are going to look for. Also, inconsistencies, you have to be very careful not to be inconsistent. Another thing that is a real red flag is when somebody is sexually suggestive or uses any type of inappropriate language or is coming on too strong, that kind of thing. I always warn people about that. Those are all some of the common red flags that you have to watch out for.
