Welcome to PCWizKidsTechTalk. For those of you that are doing a lot of hardcore gaming you need a mouse that can keep up with it OCZ has this Behemoth double laser gaming mouse that has high precision and accuracy for the most demanding games today.
So this one here that we’re looking at specifically is a nice ergonomic rubberized grip type of mouse that has on-board memory so that you can program all of your special moves. It has four different settings that you can program for the DPI for example, for the sensitivity. Let’s take a closer look here at it. I have it plugged in and you can see already that the lights are on here on the side. The red lights so that they are clicking all over the place.
There are lots of buttons and that’s something that you want in a gaming mouse because you want to be able to program what each button can do. Not just your left and right mouse buttons but you want forwards and backwards side to side. You want to program things including switching on the fly between different modes of sensitivity. So I see as I press this there are different modes that you can have for a sensitivity for the DPI for example up to four different modes as you can see right there. Each time when press it the light turns on. So you know which mode you’re in so programmable is definitely something that you are looking at and ergonomics, smoothness, sensitivity good grip on it.
Let’s take a look here on the other side so you can get a look. Again it has the ergonomics. You can see here your finger would go on this side as you’re holding onto to the mouse and it has a raise design at to front too. So that way it fits the palm of your hand very nicely. So the other thing about it is that you can adjust the weight because sometimes you might want to move mouse faster so it has these little weights inside that you take out to make it lighter or heavier and that makes very, very flexible.
Now when comes to installing software, well, there is no software to really install. You just run and program how you want the buttons to work and it stores that information in the mouse. So that way you can go to different computer. It’s already pre-built of the settings within the mouse it self.
So that’s very good about this, so here are all the different types of areas of the mouse of course that’s its highlighting as you select each option I'm showing you. You can program it to work as it is by default or you can have a configuration that is custom for each of those profiles right in. Here are also the DPI levels because it comes with four predefined DPI levels but you can even adjust those if you want and save them at slightly different levels. It does not have to be 800 for example if you find that’s too high or too low. So you can actually adjust all of those predefined four levels to something else but the maximum is 3200 just so you know. You do not want to make it too sensitive that you can't really control anything either.
So when it comes to customizing like the macros and things like that you can obviously choose predefined options for a certain mouse buttons that you have in there or you can actually program a script so you can have a recording of some key strokes for example.
It will associate whenever you click on that mouse button with those key strokes. So that will enable you to do faster reactions when doing multiple moves and things like that. So quickly just to show you if I record something and just press a couple of letters on the keyboard here. You can see that it records what I just did and then you can save that as a script and then associate that macro that script of these keys with the mouse button. So whenever you press that mouse button it will execute that little set of instructions so you can do some whacky, cool moves and things like that. You can store as many scripts as you want and then associate different scripts to different mouse buttons.
So that basically gives you a good idea on the flexibility to good, solid gaming mouse like I said very accurate, nice ergonomics, it comes with the software that you would program the mouse with of course and the CD and that’s about it. It comes with two years warranty of course and I personally love it a lot playing it in Windows 7 as well as Vista and XP. So no problems there with compatibility so I’d like to thank OCZ for providing it and I hope you enjoyed this video and thank you for watching.
