This review of Ocarina is brought to you by appvee.com.
Ocarina is an app for the iPhone that turns your device into an Ocarina. Obviously you'll default to thinking Legend of Zelda when you hear Ocarina, and that's completely fine. In fact, we at AppVee lost several hours trying to learn the Legend of Zelda songs on this app. When you load up the app, you'll see a very simple interface. There are four buttons, an arrow showing you where to blow into the mic, and an antenna that shows you when you're blowing into the mic.
If you press the antenna, you'll load up the menu bar. This gives you four options: Ocarina, World View, Settings, and Information. World view brings you to the global view and actually lets you listen in what people are playing. Settings is where you can change the key and tonality of your Ocarina. You can even give it a name here which will allow you to stand out in World View.
Playing the Ocarina can be rather hard at times. You'll need to practice getting the mic to pick you up correctly. This is the first Smule app that we’ve actually found addicting and worth the 99 cents considering there's a form that you're able to fill out with your Ocarina tablature, this app is a must have for music and Zelda fans everywhere.
This is Bryan from appvee.com the definitive source for iPhone application reviews.
