Clinton fired up Democrats Wednesday night and now, it the president’s turn. President Barack Obama will accept his party’s nomination Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention.

“On the stage behind me they are getting ready to have Barack Obama come up here and make his pitch to the American people about why he should be reelected.”

The president is expected to lay out his economic vision for the next four years. On MSNBC senior advisor David Axelrod says.

"The president now has an opportunity to talk about how we lift the country, how we rebuild the middle class, the things we have to do together to achieve the kind of future that people are looking for,"

The speech was moved indoors due to potential severe weather. And he’ll have a tough act to follow after his own historic and widely praise 2008 DNC acceptance speech.

“Instead, it is that American spirit – that American promise – that pushes us forward even when the path is uncertain; that binds us together in spite of our differences; that makes us fix our eye not on what is seen, but what is unseen, that better place around the bend.”
