Misery and mourning in the eastern Pakastani city of Lahore after nine police cadets are killed. Masked gunmen on motorcycles stormed the house where the cadets were living and opened fire. The Pakistani Taliban said it was responsible and vowed more attacks in the area. A witness living across from the house described the raid. (SOUNDBITE) (Urdu) MAN LIVING ACROSS FROM THE HOUSE THAT WAS ATTACKED NAVEED AHMED: "I saw two motorcycles parked here, and one over there. I saw five or six men firing their guns as they entered the house. One man stood outside for a while and then he also started firing and went inside. I heard shouts of "Allah o Akbar" coming from inside. They kept firing for 12 or 13 minutes." A Taliban spokesman said police from the region had been targeted because they treated Taliban detainees poorly. It is the second attack on police in the relatively peaceful Punjab Province to be claimed by the Taliban in four days. Simon Hanna, Reuters.
