It may have been a family affair. But Prince George's christening at St James's Palace in London still made headlines and bulletins round the world. (SOUNDBITE) (English) EMILIA ADAMS, NINE NETWORK NEWS READER SAYING: "It was a low-key affair for the future King of England as the newest royal was Christened in London overnight." (SOUNDBITE) (German) N24 PRESENTER, ALEXANDER SIEMON, SAYING: "It is rather unlikely that something remains private if you're born into the Windsor family. The interest of the British people in their royal family is just too big." Only senior royals and four members of the Middleton family attended the private service in the Chapel Royal. Prince George, who was born on 22nd July had seven godparents among the 22 guests. After the service, the duchess carried her newly christened son out of the chapel. The guests then left for tea hosted by the Prince of Wales at Clarence House. And for those who weren't lucky enough to be invited, it didn't stop them from betting about what went on behind closed doors. (SOUNDBITE) (English) RUPERT ADAMS, SPOKESMAN WILLIAM HILL BOOKMAKERS, SAYING: "Without doubt the one we have had most fun with is 'Is Prince George going to start crying during the ceremony?' Obviously the Archbishop of Canterbury is going to anoint the young prince three times on his head with water, which normally, if you have been to any other christenings results in huge screams and shouts, so we think that it is odds-on that poor old Prince George will cry during the ceremony." It's hoped that news of the royal heir's behaviour during the christening will come out in the next few days...and in the meantime the bets are already on that it won't be long before Prince George is joined by a little brother or sister.
