WSVN shows us the dramatic images . “Take a look at this spectacular crash. The last lap of this race up in Daytona when a rookie’s car went sailing into the fence.” Fox Sports reports the winner -- Tony Stewart -- was visibly shaken by the accident, but wasn’t involved. They detail the damage of a car that catapulted debris. They write the “…accident triggered on the final lap sheared off the nose and tail of Kyle Larson’s car, sending his suspension and a tire into the grandstands.” No deaths were reported, and all of the drivers involved were treated and released. The last NASCAR death in the states occurred back in 2007 when John Blewett III crashed at the New England Dodge Dealers 150. At least 6 spectators were injured and transported to a local hospital. According to CNN , some are in need of surgery. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
