Nails at Betsey Johnson - Fashion Week NY Fall 2010

Female: Hi I am here with Nonie of Better London. She is been entitled doing all the males of fashion week at Betsey Johnson. So we want to talk to here about what she is been doing.

What you can tell us about the males of Betsey Johnson?

Nonie: Well the males are about— has a little bit of unusual but now there is a very Betsey Johnson look. And the Betsey girl is normally bit more look like you, this is a bit wild, she might be wearing the metallic. She might be wearing a glitter. She might be wearing a neon but this season Betsey really wanted to tell a story with the males. So it was so much about her typical girl, it was about her girl turning into a Wild West outlaw riding off into the desert.

Just lying with her man after robbing a bank, really— only Betsey can do this. So what we do there is two cuts of flush pack by Better London and the idea was to do a sort of dirty, sexy, smudgy male as if she is literally have been covered in dust and wait up she did the same now in all the boys as well.

So it is a really fun, sexy, dirty, it is a great alterative to a traditional black male which can be a bit too golf bag in a bit late. So medium turns gray, huge toy for fall-winter time season.

Female: And so you said that you done the males of Betsey Johnson previously?

Nonie: We have done but to show for many seasons just a fantastic to work with. See is really nice how to have fun with her consumer, how to have fun with the press and how to sort of embody her own brand. And when you think of Betsey Johnson - the brand, you make a Betsey Johnson the woman. And who doesn’t want to be Betsy Johnson the woman?

Female: Absolutely. So, what else is going to be big in male trends for 2010?

Nonie: Well, we would be seeing a big shift to unusual medium tones. So the very dark now is still in existence, it still has lags. But people are sort of doing a lot of layering so keywords would be touch layering. And to give the male some depth, you can do that by layering a shear over one of your old dogs.

So you pull out of the cupboard, you can do that by layering a glitter over your favorite medium tone. So try to sort of switch up what you already have and in your male wardrobe. Stay away from anything tried and tested, I don’t want to see it there because - is dead ladies. We are not wearing her this season.

Female: She had been dead a long time.

Nonie: You can put to rest unfortunately, let me shoot it back but this season it is about her little sister.
