NADAL LEAVING NEWS CONFERENCE STORY: Rafael Nadal continued his successful return from injury on Friday (February 08) with a win over fellow countryman Daniel Gimeno Traver that saw the Majorcan left-hander advance through to the semi-finals at the Chile Open. A resurgent Nadal has yet to lose a set at the Vina del Mar tournament with the Spanish tennis superstar increasingly confident about his return following his 6-1 6-4 win over Gimeno Traver. Cautious upon his return to the professional circuit following a seven-month break from knee injury, Nadal admitted some reservations ahead of his first victorious comeback match in Chile with doubles partner Juan Monaco. Weighing in on the doping scandal affecting professional athletes, the tennis great earlier this week said he had passed six blood and urine tests since June. With top tennis players subject to doping tests without warning, the 11-time grand slam winner called for greater public transparency so public are more aware of which athletes are being tested.
