(ROUGH CUT ONLY - NO REPORTER NARRATION) Supporters of Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi lined the streets outside the Muslim Brotherhood headquarters on Sunday (December 9). Approximately 250 protesters joined in the rally, which came as Egypt's main coalition said it rejected a constitutional referendum set for Mursi on December 15. The opposition National Salvation Front also called for mass protests on Tuesday (December 11) against the draft constitution, saying it lacked consensus and did not represent the interests of women and minorities. Mursi's opponents - among them liberal, leftist and Christian adversaries - say the document being fast-tracked to a vote could threaten freedoms and fails to embrace the diversity of Egypt's 83 million people. Islamists, like those outside the Muslim Brotherhood headquarters, say they see the referendum as sealing a democratic transition that began when a popular uprising toppled Hosni Mubarak 22 months ago after three decades of military-backed one-man rule.
