Ellen Damaschino: As an organizer, I absolutely love mudrooms. They’re great place to keep the clutter out of mom’s way and one of my favorite organizing tips is to use open-top bins to keep your sneakers in, in that way the kids can easily put them in there and they’re out of the way. But what I don’t love about sneakers is the stinky smell. So here’s a great tip for all of you moms. Take a sock, fill it with Arm And Hammer baking soda and tie the end with a rubber band, then stick it bask into the shoe and this will always keep your mudroom smelling fresh.
Jill Cordes: Do you know the saying, “Every peny counts”? Well, wind off with that to the test. Set a glass jar by the main entrance to your home and every time you come in, dump your lose change in there and have your kids do it too. When it gets full, take it to the bank and cash it in. With the fund money, treat your kind to something fun or set up a saving account so they can learn the value of a dollar.
Steven Whittle: We can all do our part when it comes to saving resources even our pets can learn a part. Now the next time you’re at a supermarket, keep your eyes open for a natural kitty litter, it would be good for your pet and for the environment. Arm and Hammer essential clumping litter is made out of 100% corn fibers and Arm and Hammer baking soda, it’s completely biodegradable. Moreover, it absorbs twice the liquid compared to a regular clumping litter and most importantly it absorbs urine and eliminates odors immediately.
