A Connecticut mother is accused of videotaping herself while tormenting her 10-month-old baby girl. Police say she then sent that video to the child’s father. WNYT has the story.

“Police say the videos show Kellie Park, assaulting and berating the baby. at one point, Park is seen shaking the baby's crib so hard, the baby fell out.”

Police say 20-year-old Park sent the father of the baby a number of text messages threatening to harm the child. WTVM details one of those messages.

“In a text message police say Kellie sent quote ur daughter now has a broking arm no food. I'm sending nice pictures, haha, I love abusing this kid.”

In one video, police say, Park asks the baby if she’s hungry, then throws food at her. It was the 23-year-old father that turned the videos in to police. But WPIX reports, Park’s family says the young mother needs medical help.

“She has an illness and the meds she is being given is not obviously working. she is being institutionalized, she's being incarcerated. park's cousin and family insist she is needs psychological care as she is bi-polar, confrontational and violent.”

Park is now in jail awaiting trial. She faces charges of risk of injury to a minor, third-degree assault, cruelty and threatening. The videos of the alleged abuse have been sealed by a judge. The baby is now reportedly with a grandparent.
