Can you imagine graduating college together with one of your parents or kids?

Elizabeth and Stephen Sutherland have a mother and son bond that’s tough to beat. The two of them recently completed their master’s degrees together and even walked down the aisle to get their graduation certificate as a pair.

The family duo have similar careers as teachers and took on the same studies at McDaniel College in Maryland; both obtaining the same degree in the Science of curriculum and instruction. During their program, they were there to help and enlighten each other when one was discouraged or distracted.

James Gomez is a recovering alcoholic moving on to make big, positive changes in his life. This past May, James, along with his wife and son graduated together all earning degrees from the same college, Texas A&M University . A close-knit family of women, known as the ‘Goodhue Girls’ consisting of a mom and her three triplet daughters graduated together from the AIB College of Business in Des Moines, Iowa. All four took courses in business and accounting and hope to open their own company together in the future.
