Miss Universe Dayanara Torres on Her Philanthropic Activity

Max Flower: Hi my name is Max Flower. I’m here with the most radiant woman
of the night Dayanara Torres. She’s going to tell us about her
philanthropic activities, Dayanara.

Dayanara Torres: Hi, I’m so glad to be here supporting the Latino Film Festival but I
also work with numerous charities and events. I am actually the
California Ambassador for the March of Dimes for the last four
years. And I also work for the Ronald McDonald’s House
Charities. I’m one of the friends of that charities and I also run in
and host the Covenant House California every year so that keeps
me pretty busy.

Max Flower: And since you’ve been involved in the community how have you
changed as a person?

Dayanara Torres: Definitely, a lot. I think the main reason why I started it was that
just as to give back. I’ve been very blessed. I was able to win Miss
Universe long, long time ago and from there, my efforts have
never seized, they have never stopped. I created even my own
foundation. And now having kids and seeing them growing and
having them healthy, I could not ask for more. I think it’s my way
to give back and do something good and I also bring my kids to
every single event. So that they also get involved and understand
and learn what’s important in life.
