Miranda Cosgrove - ELLE & Express 25 At 25
Lindsay Caldwell It’s Elle’s 25th birthday party. And where here to talk to there top rank accomplished actresses and to celebrate my favorite year 1985. Why is 25 years for Elle is such mile marker?
Joe Zee: We’ve been 25 at Elle Magazine really in America making it differences in the world of fashion and beauty and style. That’s a huge feat.
Lindsay: So you are hosting tonight. How does that feel?
Aubrey Plaza: I feel’s awesome because I can tell people what to do and all has to listen to me because I’m in charge.
Tiffany: Lauren Conrad is a great, you know fashion icon. She really dresses for her body type and takes care of herself well and makes great choices so to be an invent that’s you know honoring her for that. She’s on the cover. It’s just. It’s a cool thing to be part of.
Sarah: First of all I love Elle. It’s the only magazine I have to subscription to and to celebrate you know women in their early twenties that are making a successful living and doing what they love to me is important.
AJ Michalka: I’m a huge fan of express clothing. They’ve always really good to my sister and I. They’ve shown us their new line and they’ll send us clothes and it’s really mean and Elle, I love the magazine so, I’m here to have a fun night. I mean you know these are people where you come together and enjoy a fun night out. And I’m just happy to be here.
Lindsay: Forbes magazine just came out. They just ranked their annual most powerful women. Michelle Obama was number one.
Tiffany: Yeah.
Lindsay: Are you surprise about that?
Tiffany: No, not at all. Actually with Disney Channel, we have something it’s called the magic of healthy living and we actually got to go to Washington D.C. and film a segment with Michelle Obama.
Melanie Fiona: Her husband was the most powerful man in the country so why not that she be the most powerful women?
Sally Pressman: She takes on so many ventures on her own. And I think that really makes her like first lady.
Sarah: Men need to step up as men because we’ve lost the rule of the traditional man. And instead women are sort of dominating the market place.
Lindsay: Oprah is rank above Hilary Clinton. Do you think that’s surprising that you know she’s the head of the political figure?
Joe Zee: No, Oprah’s is God. That is absolutely not unpredictable for me.
Melanie: She is Oprah.
Lindsay: Yeah.
Melanie: And I mean there’s you know I think a lot more of people involved in the culture of life more something politics sometimes. A power woman that I admire in Hollywood, I really like Tyra Banks. I think she’s really, really great. I think I love what she’s been able to do and so many bassets of fashion to media and art and just expressing and just making herself an empire.
Joe Zee: You really saw Lady Gaga comes from 0-60 in a year. She’s really change the entire music scene and the sound of music right now and really change the way the people foresee fashion on a red carpet.
Sarah: Gwyneth Paltrow. It just as from you know one actress admiring another actress.
Lindsay: Yeah.
Sarah: She’s I don’t know her personally but I have a child. She has two kids. She seems to be very hands-on mom. I’d love the career choices that she makes. She’s incredibly talented. I should be publicist because I speak so highly first. She’s got a movie come out on December where she sings. She’s got an amazing voice. I think she’s pretty much untouchable.
AJ: Ellen, that woman is so unbelievable in interviews and just the way she always composes herself and her film choices.
Sally: Reese Witherspoon and Sandra Bullock just because they have these incredibly prolific production companies like they do there work and they do great work and they pick great roles for themselves but more importantly, they work on project’s that were important to them.
Miranda: I’d always love Julie Andrews. I love Meryl Streep.
