As you can see I have one eye already done and you’re going to always, always start out whenever you do eye make-up with an eyeshadow base. That is going to keep your eyeshadow on all day and all night. It doesn’t matter how long you have it on, it will not crest, it’s going to also help the colors be truer and brighter.
So, we’re going to put that all over the lid, and just get a little amount on the brush, I like to wipe the brush off, so that there’s no excess, and start to built lash line then spread that all around up to the brow line. So, now you’re ready to do your eyeshadow and as you can tell I have not put on my foundation first.
I always do my eyeshadow first especially when it’s a dramatic look with a lot of color like this one is, because it helps you clean-up after yourself underneath and I have a little trick that I’m going to show you when you’ve got a lot of eyeshadow underneath your eye what you can do to clean it up.
We’re going to be using CoverGirl eye enhancers in this beautiful green color. You can find anything kind of similar to this. It could be a brighter green or a darker green. And we’re going to use a little sponge that comes with it and basically it covers most of the lid with this green.
Now, when you apply this, you really want to press and pat it on. You want to use a firm hand so that you can really get the color on there. I’m not going up really high with the green just to basically cover the lid up to the crease. Really press it on, make sure you get right in the lash line with that green. Then I’m going to turn the sponge the other direction and basically follow the line from my eyebrow down onto the corner of my eyelid. So, I’m almost creating a triangular shape in the corner of my eye.
And then our next step is going to be to get our black eyeliner. We’re going to use Black Onyx some of CoverGirl, the perfect point plus. Now, I use my pinky to steady my hand. And see how I’m not making a perfectly straight line. I’m almost making dashes like connect the dots. You don’t have to worry about it being perfectly straight, but you do want to get right in the lash bed, so that you don’t have any gaps.
And then we’re going to create the cat-eye look as you can see. Now we’re making it a kind of thick. Okay, because we’re going to go back and blend it and soften it up a little bit with eyeshadow and see it’s not perfect it’s kind of jagged right now.
Okay, so the next step we’re going to go back with another eyeshadow from CoverGirl, this is Shimmering Onyx. It’s a really pretty kind of dark charcoal grey-black color. And we’re going to use a tiny little brush it’s got like a little pinpoint to it. This sets your eyeliner, it’s also creates some more smoky soft effect.
Now, what we’re going to do is go back over with our green eyeshadow. So, now we’ve got our really pretty smoky cat eye. Now, we’re going to take a basic eyeshadow brush and use our white which is Snow Blossom from CoverGirl. And you just want to pat that underneath your eyebrow, blend it down into the green color on the lid and next to the nose also. Next, we are going to curl the lashes, very important step. Then, we’re going to use our LashBlast waterproof mascara in black from CoverGirl. It’s got a nice big brush.
Now what we’re going to do to create that underneath the eye look is we’re basically going to mix together the black Onyx and the green from CoverGirl. We’re going to use our little brush just get a little bit of the black. Brush back and forth underneath the eye to about halfway, kind of blend out with your finger and then take this Kelly green color and blend over that.
And now finally, for the special trick to clean underneath your eyes, you take an eye cream and a Q-tip just get a little bit of eye cream on that Q-tip roll it around in the edge of the Q-tip so it’s not gloppy, and you just wipe away all the excess. It also helps you clean up your edges.
Okay, so now we have our eyes done. We’re going to move on to the face. We’re going to use our CoverGirl Fresh Complexion concealer, and I’m just kind of use two colors and blend them together to customize the color for me. I have my two colors right here and I’m going to take my foundation brush. Mix these colors together on the tip of the brush, and then just dab it where I wanted.
Now, we’re going to add just a little bit of powder because I don’t normally use a lot of heavy foundation and we’re going to use CoverGirl Fresh Look Powder and Translucent Light and I’m just going to use a big fluffy brush. I like to pat it all over my face first and then buff in a circular motion.
Hey, now we can’t fit the eyebrows, very important especially when you have a dramatic eye look like this, so you’re going to basically, use your eyebrow pencil and this is from CoverGirl it’s called Brow & Eye Makers and its soft blonde. And you just draw little strokes in your browse. You don’t have to draw a straight line.
Okay, so we finished your eyebrows. We have our eyes, our faces, powder done. Now we’re going to move on to cheeks and lips. For our blush we’re going to use something that’s kind of natural, but it’s a peachy tone, so if you have darker skin go with more of a brighter coral and if you have a lighter skin you can use a light peach color like this.
This is Pretty Peach from CoverGirl and it’s the Covergirl Cheekers. So we’re going to take a nice fluffy bush brush, get that all over the brush, tap off the brush before you put it on, smile and just start kind of on apple on the cheeks and just blend forward and backward. Then, I’m just going to take my big fluffy brush I have to put on my powder with and just kind of blend it and soften it a little bit.
And lastly, we’re going to do lips. So you want to make sure that your lips are dry and soft. CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Lip Color and we are using the coral. I’m going to take your wand and just basically paint it on there. And then you’re going to take your cover coat and put that on top. It just get a little bit of a sheen it’s not too glossy.
And now our last step, always to set the make up is going to be Fix Plus spray just hold your hair back, close your eyes. It’s a very refreshing and what it’s going to do is absorb into your skin and sets your make up and have it look more natural.
And then you’ll absolutely be set for all day and night with your glamorous holiday — in July.
