Meet Model Chloe Callahan

Chloe Callahan: Hi, I’m Chloe Callahan and you’re watching Chic.TV.

Host: We’re backstage at Christians Syrianna’s runway show talking with Chloe, she’s our chic TV model of the day and tell me a little bit about yourself, so you live in the city, where are you from?

Chloe Callahan: I do, I live in Brooklyn and I’m from San Francisco and I’ve been living in New York for about a year now.

Host: So you’re pretty new, is this your second fashion week?

Chloe Callahan: Yes, this is my second New York fashion season.

Host: Okay, cool and how long have you been modeling for?

Chloe Callahan: It will be a year this month actually.

Host: Really, so nothing before that, no modeling at all?

Chloe Callahan: No, all school, no play.

Host: So are you done with school?

Chloe Callahan: No, I’m halfway through.

Host: And what do you study?

Chloe Callahan: Neurobiology in German.

Host: Oh my goodness, so that’s completely different than the modeling and fashion world.

Chloe Callahan: It is that’s the reason why I was in modeling. I think that I couldn’t take my glasses off; it might have been something along those lines though.

Host: So how did you get into it?

Chloe Callahan: A friend of mine at school was a model and all that insisted that I go in and talk with her mothers agency, so I did and literally the next day I was like what's Gucci and Paris and it was just craziness. School kind of fell by the way side very quickly but I’ll go back, I’ll go back.

Host: That's huge, that’s like such a success story.

Chloe Callahan: Yes, it was, I mean it’s not how quickly things happen.

Host: And who's your agency?

Chloe Callahan: Well my mother agency in Toronto is Shanta De Douille and here in New York I’m with New York Models.

Host: So what kind of campaigns have you worked on?

Chloe Callahan: I do a lot of commercial stuff, so a lot of stuff is like Macy’s, Target and then new markets and a couple of other things like last season I worked for Pathom Palagino and Holcim and Vivian Taft.

Host: What do you have lined up for this week?

Chloe Callahan: Well today I’m doing Christian and we honestly don’t know what shows we’re doing until about an hour before. So I don’t know, I wish I could tell you, I wish I know my schedule, so that would help me out too but we kind of just find out as the day goes on.

Host: And what do you do for fun?

Chloe Callahan: I go out a lot, I’m super social. I love going out and dancing, going to dinner, cooking with my roommate and wondering on my neighborhood and going to movies, preferably double features.

Host: Awesome, so you do that in the city or you stay in Brooklyn mostly?

Chloe Callahan: Yes, I come into the city all the time. I guess my favorite theater would be the Regal Theater on Times Square. It’s really good and really easy to double feature on.

Host: And where do you go dancing?

Chloe Callahan: I guess my favorite place to go out is like Avenue or the Southside.

Host: Cool, any advice for girls getting into modeling?

Chloe Callahan: Just be healthy and be yourself because personality shines through more than anything else.
