Hillary Clinton for president in 2016? Speculation is ramping up after former President Bill Clinton
said he doesn’t think she plans to, but left the door open when questioned about a possible run. Here’s Mr. Clinton on MSNBC...

“I just think she needs to rest up, do some things she cares about and whatever she decides to do, I’ll support.”

But Mr. Clinton isn’t the only one addressing Hillary’s future. Recents comments from House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, White House advisor David Plouffe and more all hint at supporting a 2016 run. Politico’s Maggie Haberman offers this analysis.

“ The discussion of Clinton has changed rather notably from some version of ‘I think she means it when she says she's done’ to ‘wouldn't it be great if she ran?’ among some Democrats. It would be less interesting if it wasn't a bit of a reminder of how her 2000 U.S. Senate bid began - with -Rep. Charlie Rangel mentioning ... that she would be a great nominee in New York.”

So what does Hillary herself have to say about all this? Take a look at the interview with NBC’s Andrea Mitchell...

ANDREA MITCHELL: “There is a growing expectation, that you will run for president.”
HILLARY CLINTON: “Well Andrea, it’s very flattering but I’m not at all planning to do that.”


But a writer for Buzzfeed says all the recent support could change her mind.

“ ... now that some of her closest allies are very publicly voicing their support, it's clear there will be pressure for her to consider an attempt at calling the White House home once again.”

It’s been a long political career for Hillary, from campaigning as first lady, to her term as Senator, running for the Democratic presidential nomination, and her current role as Secretary of State. CNN Political Analyst Gloria Borger says it might be time for a break...

“I believe Hillary Clinton, I think she’s exhausted, I think it’s a job that takes so much time and travel and energy if you do it the right way.”

Regardless of whether she runs, support is looking good. Clinton is the most popular woman in America for the tenth year in a row, according to Gallup.
