Paul McCartney has officially announced the release of a brand new album. The former Beatle will release "New" - an album of 12 new songs on October 15. McCartney has already released the title track from the album which has been mostly praised by critics, saying it sounds like a return to his Beatle roots. James Spader has been cast as the villain in the next "Avengers" film, due out May 2015. Spader will reportedly play a robot villain and join the A-list cast that includes Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth, among others. Spader is best known for his role on the TV series "Boston Legal" for which he won three Emmy awards. Richard Attenborough celebrates his 90th birthday on Thursday (August 29). The British actor and director was at the helm of the 1982 film "Gandhi," which earned him an Oscar and took the Academy Award for best film. Among his many acting roles, he's probably most recognized for his turn as the owner of "Jurassic Park," in Steven Spielberg's 1993 film. Another birthday to mention, Thursday would have been Michael Jackson's 55th birthday. Jackson died four years ago from an overdose of the anesthetic propofol while preparing for a series of comeback concerts in London. His family is currently in the midst of a several month long wrongful death trial against concert promoter AEG Live. That trial is expected to wrap up in the next few weeks.
