Martha Stewart is born August 3, 1941. She is an entrepreneur and a home making advocate. Her empire is built around the domestic arts that she has the Show of Martha and she’s also starred on The Apprentice.

She was awarded a partial scholarship to Barnard College, but temporarily left Bernard to pursue a successful modeling career. She later returned and graduated with a major in history and architectural history. Stewart opened a retail store, where she sold her home entertainment kits and her business grew rapidly. Shortly thereafter, Martha received a publishing deals to write a book on catering called Entertaining which was on the Bestseller List.

She went on to produce dozens of books, had many guest appearances on different TV shows, like the Oprah Winfrey Show, and became spokesperson for K-Mart. Later in 1993, she started her own show and then opened her own magazine, Martha Stewart Living.
